Lucy A. Mest passed from this life on her journey to be with the Lord on December 5, 2010, following a long illness. She was born on February 11, 1931 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for many years and moved to Mesa in the early 1980s. She loved square dancing, bowling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Lucy was preceeded in death by her husband of 25 years, Ernest R. Egbert, her husband of 19 years, Albert A. Mest, her daughter Theresa A. Crawford, her twin sister Lois Lester and her brother Gerald Peterson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and John Dussault of Gilbert AZ, granddaughters Amber Campbell, Adrianna DiNardo, and Raven Tyson; great grandson Benjamin Campbell, brothers Donald Peterson and Harry Peterson and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to All Saints Catholic Church at 1534 North Recker Road, Mesa AZ 85205-4410.
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Melcher Mortuary Mission Chapel-6625 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85205. 480-832-3500
