Lunda Ruby Jewell Edwards

January 23, 1932 – May 30, 2014

Lunda Ruby Jewell was the oldest daughter of Leo and Pirna Haley and at the time of her passing, the wife of Larry Edwards. Ruby was born in Dogtown, OK and passed away in the evening hours with family present. As the oldest girl she cared for the rest of her siblings, eight in all, and grew to love children even to her last days. She had moved to Queen Creek in 1945 with her family and throughout her life saw many changes come to the valley. She was the mother of four, Lunda Schemahorn, Brian Rowland, Brad Rowland and Bruce Rowland all residing in the valley. She was a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings, Charles Haley, Mart Haley, Coke Haley, Bud Haley and Dot Williams. She is survived by 2 sisters, Kathleen Smith of Queen Creek and Duva Crewse of Henryetta, OK

Celebration of life services will be held on June 7, 2014 at the Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church located at 1512 E McDowell, Mesa, AZ 85203 between 11:00AM and 1:00PM
