Marie Antoinette Buss

Marie A. Buss, 84, passed away on Sunday October 19, 2025, after a long battle with vascular dementia. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the dedicated staff and nurses at Legacy House of Avondale and Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care.

Born July 10, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY to Dominick and Celia Bernardo, Marie married John J. Buss, Jr. (Jack) on May 21, 1960. Marie was an artist and loving mother who dedicated her life to creating a nurturing home for her husband, Jack, of 44 years and their 3 children.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband John J. Buss, Jr. who passed away on May 22, 2004. Marie is survived by children Dawn (Glenn) Dickenson, John Michael (Sue) Buss, and Gina (Chad) Valley, grandchildren Max, Sam, Ruby, Alex, and Laura, and sister Michele Mascola. Visitation was held 4:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, October 25 at Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care 400 S. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ.

Funeral Service was held 10:00 am Sunday, October 26 at Mariposa Gardens San Tan Venue 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ followed by the Committal Service at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park.
