

She was born March 25th 1929 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the daughter of Sid and Inez Bowen Caldwell. She married Henry (Roy) Dwyer on June 13th 1948 at Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
Roy and 3 sons, Bill, wife Janie of Bend Or., Mike, wife Diana, of Mesa, Az., Roger, wife Leisa, of Mesa Az., 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, still survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Tom Caldwell, and one son Tom Dwyer.
Marge was a 1947 graduate of Jacksonville High School. Marge and Roy raised their family in Jacksonville where she worked as an Office Mgr., School Secretary and Homemaker. Marge served as a scout leader when her two oldest sons were in Cub Scouts. Marge was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville where she served as Sunday School Secretary for many years and later was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. After moving to Arizona, Marge and her husband were members of Hi-Way Baptist church where she also served on several Church committees.
Marge had a very strong faith and demonstrated this through her Love for others. As secretary at Franklin grade school for many years, she treated all of the children as her own. She was given a plaque from the children upon retirement that stated, “To our second Mom”. She was always devoted to her family and considered by her own kids to be “The Best Mom Ever”. While she will be missed by her family, especially her husband Roy, she is with Jesus now.
Marge will remain in Arizona for now but will be interred at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Jacksonville when her husband passes, alongside her parents, brother, and son.
A memorial to celebrate Marge’s life will take place at Hi-Way Baptist Church in Mesa Az. On Oct. 15th, 2013 at 11am.
