Merlin George Mielke was born August 24, 1931 in Winsted, MN and passed on February 24, 2022 in Gilbert, AZ at the age of 90. He is survived by daughters Karen Zimmerman and Doreen Mielke; grandchildren Ryan Zimmerman, Lisa Freier and grand son-in-law Tyson Freier; great-granddaughters Aubrie Zimmerman and Hayley Zimmerman. Merlin is also survived by Audrey Grimm and family; sister-in-law Jeanette Mielke; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins and dear friends. Merlin will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling, MN with his wife of 52 years, Elvira Mielke, who passed on October 22, 2004.
A celebration of life will be held in Minnesota in the spring or summer. Though our hearts are broken we will always remember his words: "I love you very much", "I had a good life" and "Remember the good times". We miss you Dad, and love you with all our hearts.
