

Moses John Flores, 85, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away June 17, 2023. He was born in Blue Island, Illinois on May 22, 1938. Moses graduated from Blue Island Community High School in 1956, in Blue Island, Illinois.Moses worked for Trans World Airlines (TWA) for 40 years. He loved working for the airlines, which also provided benefits for his family to fly at a discount. After moving his family from Chicago to Arizona in 1972, he could fly them back to Chicago to visit their grandparents as well as all their family and friends as often as they wanted. Moses married right out of high school, Mary Lou (Granata), and they had seven children, Catherine, Donna, Laura, Cindy, Lisa, Joseph and Moses Jr. (who did not survive after birth). After his marriage ended, he met and married the love of his life, Deidra (Mitchell) Flores on April 3, 1993 in Gilbert, Arizona. This marriage gave him two bonus children, Julie and Troy. His Christian faith was a large part of who he was. Moses has always loved the Lord and never missed a moment to share the Word of God with those he met. Family was very important to him and he loved each one of them dearly. Moses is survived by his wife of 30 years, Deidra of Mesa, AZ; his daughters Catherine (Richard), Donna (Pat), Laura, Cindy (Michelle), Lisa (Miguel), Julie (Chris) and sons Joseph and Troy (Chrissy); 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held July 15, 2023, at Via Church, 740 N. Power Road, Mesa, AZ., 85205, followed by a reception.
