Nellie Cameron

Nellie Conley Cameron was born in Bogalusa, LA on April 2, 1934 to Lorena Bolton and Henry Conley. Nellie was the youngest daughter of five children. She attended Central Memorial High School in Bogalusa, Louisiana and completed high school in Phoenix, Arizona. Nellie was mother extraordinaire! She reared her children with love, and discipline. She also instilled in them a strong work ethic, and most importantly modeled a life of service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Nellie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Cameron, her father, Henry Conley, Mother, Lorena Bolton, son, Willie Cameron Jr., sisters, Ore Lee Fordham and Ida May Curtis. She is survived by her sons Larry Cameron, Wesley Cameron (Joyce Cameron) and daughters Diane Cameron Willis (Clarence L. Willis) and Devotion Cameron.

Services will be held as followed; Wake; 7:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Lakeshore Mortuary. 1815 S. Dobson Rd. Mesa, AZ 85202. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, Wednesday, Aprill 3, 2012, followed by A Homegoing Celebration Service at 11:00am at the Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church. 20 S. 8th St., Phoenix, AZ 85034. Interment to follow at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ.
