Ninnie Green was born December 5, 1928, in Fayette, Mississippi to the late Harry Ross and Janette Hudson Ross. She was the third child from the baby. She is also preceded in death by all but one sibling, Margie Ross Owens the baby girl, She Is the last of the family siblings.
Ninnie Green was brought to Inkster Michigan as a young girl by her Aunt Lula Mae and attended the Inkster school system. After school she was united in holy matrimony to James B. Green until his transition to heaven in 1998. From this union five children were born. Anna Mae Green (She is preceded in death her oldest daughter); Frank F. Green her only son; Ninie Nora Green Lewis; Nadine Green Lollie, and Delores Green Robinson.
Ninnie Green worked various jobs while living in Detroit until she landed a great position at Ford Motors. There she worked for over 25 years until injured and she retired in 1998.
Ninnie Green was baptized at an early age and went on to work for the mother’s committee at Hartford Baptist Church in Detroit. Later she joined Living Word Ahwatukee Church after moving to Phoenix, Arizona to live. She attended Living Word Ahwatukee Church until she went on with the Lord.
Ninnie Green favorite hobbies were gardening, traveling, playing board games, and spending time with her grand, great grand and great great-grandchildren. They all were her joy.
Ninnie Green was aware of her failing heart, but she chose to live everyday as if it were her last day. July 24, 2024 she departed this life by simply laying in bed and falling to sleep. (to be absent from the body is to be with the lord).
