Patrick Gunny Alvin Campbell

Patrick Alvin Campbell, Ret. Gny. Sgt. U.S.M.C., passed away June 1, 2014 in his home leaving his loving wife, Sharon. Pat was born in Colville, WA on March 17, 1928 to Ruby & Neil. He had four siblings who have passed.

Patrick proudly served for 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 19 years as JROTC “Gunny” Instructor at Tolleson High School. His previous wife, Audrey Campbell, is deceased and was the mother of their four wonderful children, Mike (& Teri), Steve (deceased), Janell (& Randy Becker) and Angela (& Brian Lloyd). They had 3 grandchildren, Alexandria, Brennen and Alyse.

Pat is also preceded in death by his three children, Michael Patrick, Sandy and Cathy. His other three grandchildren, Danielle, Carli and Dain, are Sandy’s children. He also leaves his 4 step children and 5 step grandchildren. His life was also immensely enriched by his close friend Jorge Amaya. Patrick was a long time member of the Fleet Reserve Association 163 in Phoenix, The Phoenix West Elks Lodge 2729 and The Marine Corps League.

A Military Service will be held for Pat on June 6th at 9:30 AM at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85024. A Memorial Service will be held June 14th at 2:00 PM at the West End Baptist Church, 9101 W Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85053. Greg Caudle, Pastor.
