Phil was born and raised in the Bronx, also surrounded by family – parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, cousins, cousins.
He graduated from the City College of NY, CUNY, with bachelor’s and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and pursued a career in power supply engineering for many years, retiring when he was 74 years old. His career took him to mostly managerial positions in New York, New Jersey, California and Massachusetts. Having lived in quite a few different communities, the place he loved best was Beverly, Massachusetts, where he resided in a little house a block from the Atlantic Ocean.
He was a kind, insightful, loving and warm person - one of the “good guys”. He was the calm in the storm, steady and purposeful. He was a wonderful family man, and his greatest pleasure in his later years was his grandchildren.
He was a lover of card games, especially poker, “guy” movies, and he liked to travel, dabble in the stock market, and he enjoyed a cozy home. And ketchup - he really liked ketchup.
He is survived by Judy, his loving wife of 53 years, and his loving sons, Philip and his fiancé, Michele, and John, father of his much-loved grandchildren, Tristan, Juliet, and Susannah, and by their mother, Jessica. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Grayson. Also surviving are his sister, Angela, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.
“I will be with you always until the end of time” Matthew 28:20
