Rachel Porter

She married Dyrl B. Porter in 1939. They lived in Des Moines, Iowa until 1964 and then moved to Arizona. She worked for United Dairymen of AZ for 24 years before retiring. She then became a volunteer at Mesa Luthern Hospital for the next 12 years where she made many new friends. Besides her family and friends, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, attempts at golf and traveling.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Linda) Porter; daughter, Jean Porter; her granddaughter, Lynette (Matthew) Muller; great-grandson, Joshua Porter, and her grand-dog, Miss Belle. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, David Porter.

A family service will be held graveside at a later date in Allerton, IA.

Memorial donations in her name may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
