Ramon Sanchez Kastner

It is with deep love and profound sadness that the family announces the passing of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Ramon Sanchez Kastner. He was a man of quiet strength, boundless generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved; he leaves behind a legacy defined by kindness, dedication, and faith.

He was born on September 27, 1949, to Fred and Lorenza Kastner. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration before embarking on a long and distinguished professional career. He began as a computer operator in Fairchild, California, where he discovered his passion for technology. He later served as a budget analyst for Intel Corporation, bringing insight, diligence, and integrity to his work. His career continued as an information technology operator for Safeway and US Foods, roles in which he was admired for his problem-solving ability, patience, and steadfast professionalism.

A man grounded in faith, he was a longtime parishioner of All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona. His spirituality guided him, and his compassion uplifted all who knew him.

He loved tennis—whether playing, watching, or sharing the sport with others—and he cherished every moment spent with his family. Known widely for his generosity, he brought warmth, care, and selflessness into every relationship. His presence made life brighter, and his kindness touched countless hearts.

He is survived by his beloved spouse Amelia Kastner of Mesa, AZ; his children Sasha Hirata of Union City, CA and Tisha Pelletier of Gilbert, AZ; his sons-in-law Reid Hirata of Union City, CA and Sean Pelletier of Gilbert, AZ; and his cherished grandchildren Leilani Hirata of Union City, CA, Caleb Pelletier and Ellie Pelletier of Gilbert, AZ; all of whom were blessed by his love, wisdom, and gentle spirit. He leaves behind a large and devoted family who will carry his memory forward with honor.

Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, generosity, and faith will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
