I knew Chief in the 80's in Arlington - he was always a perfect gentleman, while still having a wicked good sense of humor.  I have thought of him often over the years, he will be missed.

I remember your father fondly from my high school days.  He ran around with my older brother- and they were always into something! One time he called my brother because he was out of gas- Brian was gone so I said I would bring him some gas.  I got a dollars' worth of gas and when I took it to him he about croaked!  I was aonly about 14 or 15 (Yes, we drove at that age!)  He said he never bought more than a quarters' worth of gas.  I learned a valuable lesson about  how much gas one really needed- my parents were not happy with that as I always returned the car empty!  (Fr.) He will be very much missed by so many people that knew him. He never met a stranger and they all loved him. My sincere sympathy to all.
