

She was born in Chicago on June 13th, 1929 to Constantino and Concetta Bosco. She was the youngest of her 5 siblings: 2 sisters and 3 brothers who have all preceded her in death.
She married Joseph Louis Perto on August 5th, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois.
Rita worked in data entry for Lyons Club International in Oakbrook, Illinois. While she was working for Lyons Club, she was part of the Convention staff that supported the Lyons Club Annual Convention and was able to travel all over the U.S., Asia, Australia and Europe. Needless to say she enjoyed travel and exploring new places and meeting new people.
As a homemaker raising a young family in Hillside, Illinois; Rita volunteered for community events and served as part of election support staff for all the major elections.
After retiring, she moved to Mesa, Arizona and began the next chapter at an active adult community. Rita enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the flora and fauna of the Arizona desert as well as the many activities provided at her community. She met many friends there and had lots of fun. Some of her favorite activities were pool aerobics, dances, community barbecues and especially the Friday morning laugh club, where she and others would get up and tell jokes!
Rita loved to cook and was one of the original “foodies”. She really loved to experiment with her cooking and loved to spread the joy to others by sharing her expression of love (food) with her friends and family.
Rita is survived by 3 of her 4 children; Patricia Lipski (Bob), Laura Ruscetti (Phil), and Joseph Perto. Her youngest son, Mark Perto proceeded her in death, Six grandchildren: Jeanine Frederick (Jeremy), Philip Ruscetti (Kari), Kristen Proc (Dan), Joseph L. Perto (Alex), Breanna Perto, Eric Perto, Paige Perto and nine great grandchildren: Isabella Ruscetti, Rocco Ruscetti, Daniel Proc, Ronan Proc, Emmitt Perto, Aurora Perto, Zack Frederick, Kiana Frederick, Kailee Frederick, and Mason Perto. Also, many loved nieces and nephews.
The immediate Family will be celebrating Rita’s life in a private ceremony.
