Ronald Lee Knouse

Ronald Lee Knouse, 85, of Mesa, AZ went to meet his Lord and Savior on October 18, 2023. He was born in Galesburg, Illinois on April 9, 1938, he was the son of James and Alice Knouse. He graduated from Oakville High School in 1956. Mr. Knouse then served in the US Air Force as a firefighter. He married Violet Iola Danielson on April 24, 1960, in Burlington, IA. Mr. Knouse retired after 30 years from Iowa Industries (Champion Sparkplug).

He enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, hiking, and mountain biking. After retiring, he and Violet decided to full time travel for ten years, finding themselves "on the road again" with their RV.

Mr. Knouse was a member of Saguaro Hills Baptist Church. He was actively involved in all aspects of church ministry throughout his life.

Survivors include his wife Violet, son Mark Knouse (Darcy), daughter Kelly Knouse, brother Gary Knouse (Denise), sister Judi Bruning (Wes), two granddaughters Jenna Graves (Taylor), Julie Knouse, and three great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by sister Ann Thornton.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Mariposa Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Saguaro Hills Baptist Church, 1402 N. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ.
