Rosa was born on September 14, 1948 to Alberto and Margarita Guerrero-Gonzalez. She was born in Hanford California.
Rosa is survived by her spouse, Rodrigo Vela Sr, her son Juan Vela, her son Alberto Vela, her daughter Laura Hodgkins, her son Rodrigo Vela Jr. , her grandkids and great grandkids who she loved dearly.
Rosa enjoyed listening to music, enjoyed singing, enjoyed knitting, enjoyed church, enjoyed cooking and enjoyed her time spent with love ones.
Rosa Maria Vela will be honored in a celebration of life and visitation for Rosa will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Parish, 1244 S. Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206. A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206.
