After a 23 year struggle with Parkinson’s disease, Julie was welcomed by God into His kingdom on Monday, February 24, 2014. She has joined her husband of 62 years, Rufino, her parents, Jose and Petra, a sister Carmen. She is survived by three brothers, Joe, Richard, Steven and two sisters Rose and Isabelle.

Julie was a devoted wife, and an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of five children, Julieta, Marie (husband Jack) Rufino Jr., Bettina, and Larry (wife Cindy). Fourteen grandchildren, Heather, Alexis, Ileana, Natalie, Paul, Noel, Derek, Bryce, Austin, Breana, Selena, Steven, Lauren and Trenton. Ten great grandchildren, Kiana, Gabriel, Amado, Morgan, Tyler, Grace, Dylan, Jackson, Mason, and Monroe.

Julie was a caring person who readily gave of herself to all lives she touched. She will be missed by many. “Good night and God bless you, Mom”.

Services will be held on Friday March 7th at the Veterans Cemetery located at 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024. A celebration of Julie’s life will be held at 2013 East Aire Libre, Phoenix, Arizona 85022, immediately following the service.
