Rose Mary Francisco

She was born to Adam and Veronica Schaff in April 1925 and grew up with her 11 siblings on a farm in North Dakota. She married James T Francisco in 1949. They lived in Minnesota, Maryland, and Alabama before moving their family to Arizona.

Rose was a homemaker, beautician, and florist. She enjoyed needlework, cooking, card games, bingo, and gardening with her favorite Peace roses. She appreciated spending time with a wide circle of friends. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and valued her role as leader of a Grief Support Group.

Celebrating Rose’s life are her children; Lee (Candace Bruno) Francisco, Gayle (Lonnie) Medlock, Brian (Karen) Francisco, Kay Francisco and Tina Francisco. Rose was blessed with 3 grandchildren; Kelly, Brent (Jennifer), and Zachary, and one great-grandchild, Benjamin. She is survived by siblings Florentine, Matt, Mike, Eve, Dom, and Larry along with many nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, and siblings Andrew, Ann, Margaret, Betty, and Leo.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, 1534 N Recker Road, Mesa, Arizona at 10 am on Thursday, December 17, 2015. A gathering and refreshments will follow in the McKay Hall. Rose’s remains will be interred with her husband James at the Veterans National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.

Memorial donations may be made to the St Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of your choice in honor of Rose.

Rose’s memory will always be carried in the hearts of her family and friends.
