Rosemary Frances Gallagher

Rosemary Gallagher passed away on 10/08/2014 at 8:45am in Mesa, Arizona. She leaves behind a loving husband Kenneth Gallagher, two sisters and their spouses, Jean and Camilo Perez and Susan and David Siegler, two daughters and their spouses, Joyce and William Ennis, Shirin and Pascal Amaning, the third daughter Maryam Narmanian, and four grandchildren Sarah Rose Ennis, Rachel Jean Ennis, Gabriel Narimanian-Tiady, and Seth Amaning.

Rosemary was always passionate about community, family and justice. In 2000 she was the co-founder and Co-Executive director of Philly Kids Play it Safe. This was a child abuse prevention and intervention agency. Later she became active in the community through YMCA and then she along with her husband founded the Peace Project and Kids for Peace in which her mission was to celebrate diversity, educate the communities she was involved in, and create a world of understanding where peaceful interventions were a possibility. She loved to teach, mentor, and laugh.

A small private celebration of her life will occur on October 11, 2014 at Resthaven Park Cemetery followed by a bigger family, friend, and community celebration in the spring of 2015, in Pennsylvania.
