Sarah was born on June 6, 1981, to Bob Kennedy and Carolyn (Kennedy) Bauer in Palm Springs, California. In February of 2017, Sarah met Joe, whom she would fall deeply in love with and later marry in November of 2022.
Sarah was predeceased by Jeff Bauer (stepfather) and Carolyn Bauer (mother). She is survived by Joe Williams (husband), Bob Kennedy (father), Bobby Kennedy Jr. (brother), Sierra Bauer (sister), Carey Brown (sister) and Courtney Bauer (sister).
Sarah was raised as a PK (preacher's kid), with her dad pastoring several churches. She attended a Christian school which was started by her mother, Carolyn. She graduated from Tulare High School and was a cheerleader. One special moment her father recalls from this time was when the basketball team he coached lost a game, and Sarah walked up to him and said, "Daddy, I cheered as hard as I could."
A few years back, Sarah was diagnosed with Wegener's Disease, an auto-immune disease that caused her to undergo many treatments, surgeries and hospital stays. During this time, her husband, Joe became her rock and she learned to rely heavily on God's strength through the prayers of her family and friends. Even though she had some dark days, she never forgot who held her tomorrow. Sarah was a fighter, she fought through to the very end.
Those that know Sarah know that she was a go getter, an adventurer. Her happiest moments consisted of making memories, spending time with the family. Some of her favorite moments were spent as a family at Disneyland to cuddling up with her husband Joe and their cat Bella on the couch watching a movie. She loved to be surrounded by the people she cared about and loved. She knew just how to lift everyone's spirits up in a short period of time even if it consisted of telling an embarrassing story that involved her family. When she was in the room, there was sure to be laughter, happiness, and many jokes. Sarah had a way of winning games; she could beat anyone at the arcade.
In her short forty-one years of life, Sarah touched many people's hearts. She was privileged to experience many friendships, some being many families between working at schools and offices to her many years involved in the church.
Sarah was a free spirit, independent, strong, and beautiful who wasn't afraid to act boldly. She can never be replaced, and we are forever grateful for the moments we got to spend with her. She will be forever missed!
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.mariposagardens.com for the Kennedy Williams family.
