I met Shawn in 2013 at the SE Clinc in Gilbert. Shawn personified professionalism in his work providing assistance to veterans at the Clinic. I would stop in his office and enjoy conversations with him about family and after work activities. Shawn’s work ethics were geared high by many who knew him but his heart rated highest of all with his family and friends. Behind that tough disciplined work image was a gentle giant. He made me feel like part of his family – I will miss him. He should be here now - my condolences to the family.

Shawn, it was always a privilege to work with you at the VA.  More than just working, I loved hearing you talk about your family.  Your son and your daughter are great young people, smart, talented and raised extremely well.  I will miss stopping in at your office to say hi when at the VA.  You have been a great veteran, a great American Marine and a blessed father and husband.  All of us who knew and deeply respected you will miss you painfully.  God bless you and your family. Condolences to Holly and the entire family.  May you all find the strength to endure this most heavy hearted time. You are all in my heart and prayers.  Shawn and I were colleagues  for ten productive years at the SE Clinic. Assisting Veterans and staff was always at the heart of our efforts. We had a " mojo", balanced each other out. You will be missed Shawn. This is gonna leave a mark man. The phrase that counts " Well done good and faithful servant " comes to mind. Your family, friends, colleagues and many Veterans know. Sending my condolences to the family. I met Shawn 2 years ago, as I became the facility manager at SE CBOC and he has always been a hard worker. Shawn and I shared a lot of great conversations and always teaching me about life to help me with school and life lessons. I appreciate and am thankful to have met Shawn. You will truly be missed. Almost every morning, it was a greeting along with "good morning, we are at paradise." that was our inside joke for being at work, and when I was getting ready to leave the office he always tells, "stay out of trouble kid, see you tomorrow". Thank you for sharing all your memories, support, knowledge, and love for football especially stories of your kids with me.  Sending prayers and hugs to the family.

A life well-lived is not defined by grandiose gestures, but by the quiet strength of showing up daily, year after year, with unwavering integrity and purpose. By this measure, Shawn's life was a shining exemplar of a life of profound worth. Rest now, Shawn - Your watch has ended, but your enduring legacy illuminates the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know you. 

Thank you for your genuine support and friendship over the years.  I loved hearing  stories of Bailee’s artwork, writing, college life and Hayden’s football journey!  I will miss you, my friend.  Heartfelt condolences to Holly and family.

Man my guy my homie my pops dude was everything ! And the he always had plan! We were always getting into something like driving across the country or cooking something on the grill! Cat dog was my road dog !

Shawn was a very hard worker who advocated tirelessly for his country, the veterans, his fellow brothers and sisters,. He shared so many of his experiences while in the service. He always spoke highly of his family, his wife and his children. He would always express his joy and love when he shared about his wife and kids. He spoke with such passion when it came to his children excelling in school and sports. Shawn was such an amazing person to work with at the VA. He tried to help all that he could. While we are all in such dismay and heartbroken we stand in prayer holding up his family, his wife and his children. I salute you, Sean Daughtery job well done!!!! !!!!

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Shawn helped a lot of people in his short life, myself included. He was a coworker of mine at the VA clinic and was always there for me with answers to questions that I didn’t have. I know he was a pillar of strength for so many veterans throughout the 8 years I was at the clinic. I am sincerely sorry for your loss.
