Steve was born on August 16, 1956 in Denver, Colorado. Steve joined the Army in 1991 and retired in 2011. While in his 20 years he served and protected our country in the war in Bosnia, Iraq, and Persian Gulf.
Steve married his soulmate Carrie Ann Kunz April 1st of 2000. Over their 25 years of marriage they loved riding their Harley Davidsons and loved camping and traveling throughout in their RV with their fur babies Bentley and Izzy. Steve always enjoyed having a cold one with all of his close friends while reminiscing as well as making new memories.
Steve is survived by his wife Carrie Kochevar. Children Danny (Meghan) Kochevar, Heidi (Thad) Cook, Stephanie (Jay) Adams, and Michael Kochevar. Grandchildren Brooke Dolak, Austin Kochevar, Jessica Gillman, Drake Giles, Nathan Adams, Landen Adams, and Declan Adams. Great granddaughter Alina Sandiford-Giles.
Steve will be buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona on April 9, 2025.
