Sue Armitage, 73 passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born on September 11, 1949, the daughter of Walter and Georgiann (Rohrbach) Oswald of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She went to Bethlehem School and graduated from South Side High School in 1967.She worked as a telephone operator, a credit union clerk/notary, a fabric store clerk and a worker at Fresenius. She married Donald Armitage, of Middlesex, New York on November 28, 1970 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She spent 22 years as an army wife and lived many places around the world. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was truly gifted at quilting and machine embroidery and donated many quilts to various charities in places where she and her family lived, most recently Queen Creek and Gilbert, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Richard and Thomas Oswald of Fort Wayne,Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, daughter, Monica and son, Jeremy of Mesa, Arizona,grandchildren, Kameron of Ogden, Utah, Nikolas and his wife, Angela of Vicenza, Italy, and Jace and Bostyn of Mesa, siblings, Tim Oswald, and Nancy (Oswald) Hartstein, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
