

Sue Turner, 91, of Gold Canyon, AZ passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 19, 2014. She was born in Humboldt, Nebraska on February 15, 1923. Sue met and married Robert E. Turner in Washington, DC in 1945 and they enjoyed spending their time together boating, gardening, and golfing. She was an extremely selfless, independent, kind, and humble woman. She and her husband retired and moved to Mountainbrook Village where she was an active member of the community. Sue was respected by everyone who knew her and was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. Not to mention, she made the best apple pie ever! Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years and is survived by her son Robert E. Turner, Jr. (Sandy) of Gold Canyon, AZ, her grandchildren Michelle M. Kopp (Mike) of Leesburg, VA, Robert E. Turner, III (Melisa) of Santa Barbara, CA, and her great granddaughter Madison Turner Kopp of Leesburg, VA.
