

Born April 5, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Carl and Ida (Selders) Fessler. He was the owner/manager of The Fessler Body Shop/Restoration Company (Third generation since 1896) in the Westport area. He was an instructor for Federal CETA Program at the Kansas City Skills Center before re-locating to Mesa, AZ in 1989. Thomas worked with the MARC Center in AZ after retirement.
He leaves his wife of 37 years, Virginia Kay Fessler (Nestor); his sons, David (Leslie) Fessler, Retired SSG Robert T. Fessler and Daniel Fessler; daughters Julie Teel, Jennifer (Rick Martis) Gordon and Megan (Travis) Lebsack; his brother Raymond (Margaret) Fessler; sister Joyce (Jim) Tomazin; grandchildren Stephanie Teel, Jayme (George) Viscarra, Kailyn and Nathaniel Fessler , Mason and Miles Lebsack; and five great grandchildren. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Maribeth Fessler.
He had a love for life, his family and his grandchildren. He loved to play jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed things like cooking, drawing and art . He also enjoyed collecting and restoring classic cars and had a great love of World War II airplanes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, AZ. On Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
