I'm sorry I didn't know of Toms passing. Tom taught me body work and an awful lot of life experience at the Kansas City Skills Center, in the old Packard building. He was a tough, but skilled teacher. I learned more than just body work from the man. When he called you out you didn't know whether it was to praise your work or give you a thrashing about it, but he was always, always a fair and compassionate person. Thank you Tom, peace.

Tom.... Tommy, Mr. Fessler. Dad.. No, I never had the opportunity to officially meet you, or have that "scary" awkward moment to meet Danny's dad!! or whether to shake your hand or hug you. Although, I never had the privilege to meet you face to face, I have been overwhelmingly blessed to know your son Daniel & see your Greatness through the family you loved, lead, taught & shared life with... I see your strength, your sense of humor, the loyalty, your unfailing love, your incredibly kind personality shining through all of them. Though I could feel sorrowful that you and I will not meet in this lifetime, or that you will miss  Danny's wedding or see the incredible man you raised him to be grow old. My heart soars to know gathered around will be those who YOU touched, impacted and who dearly cherish you. I love who you were and what you mean to the family. How beautiful your life. How inspirational your love. I honor you today.. your legacy will thrive on forever in our family!

I have been friends with Joyce since third grade and spent many precious hours in the loving Fessler home.  I remember how funny and warm Tom was.  I never had a brother but I used to pretend sometimes he was mine.

Dear Uncle Tom...You and my Aunt Kay were precious to me. Words cannot express how much you have helped and inspired me in the past few years. i love you all so very much and my heart is with you.

Dear Kay, Joyce and family,  I had the privilege of knowing Tom because I grew up with Joyce.  We have been friends since 3rd grade and I went to their house when ever I was invited and a lot when I wasn't.  I loved Tom because he was so much fun and frequently played jokes on me which made me feel like part of the family. Once when I was having dinner with them, I was given butter milk to drink instead of regular milk and I can still remember the silence when I took the first sip and the space of time before I had the nerve to say something about the sour milk.  I know Tom was behind the prank with Ray, Joyce, and Mom and Dad Fessler close behind. I will never forget the time I was given a ride on a car hood upside down on the snow behind their car.There was always laughter in their home and a deep conviction the God is Good and Loves us very much.  I always felt loved. I know you will miss him and I so sorry for your loss.  Have faith, you will see him again soon.

Cousin Tommy was larger than life, enjoyed life to the fullest, and had a never-ending positivity and humor that was contagious.  Oh, and he was funny as heck! I can remember visiting Grandpa and Grandma during the hot summers in Arizona... We ALWAYS had a blast! Grandpa had a sense of humor that will always be in my heart. He always had the rights things to say and was very sincere to the heart! His soul is one of the most beautiful souls that anyone could ever meet in one lifetime! Tom you always made me feel welcome, from the first time David introduced me to you, to when we lived with you, to when your son asked me to be his wife, and you always loved and adored Kailyn and Nathaniel. I will cherish all the time and memories we had.  Will miss our unspoken conversations (the raise of your eyebrow, no need to explain I knew what you were thinking!) and hearing the stories you shared. I am so honored to be a part of your family.

He taught me many things like the importance of family and how to spread love. Also respect and discipline. But how to not take life to serious because it will all work out. He use to say if they don't have a sense of humor, then they don't have no sence.
