Thomas G. Stapleton, born August 11, 1937 in Detroit, MI to Thomas and Ida Mae [Girard] Stapleton, passed away on July 1, 2012 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 74. Formerly of Prescott Valley, Thomas moved to the Mesa area to be closer to his family. He had a love for life, enjoying golf, traveling on cruises and especially spending time with his family. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Barbara J. Stapleton; son Mike (Anita) Stapleton; daughter Lisa (Danny) Harris; stepchildren Mike (Sandi) Johannesen, Ken (Doreen) Johansen and Tracey (Keith) Bengtson ; brother Timothy (Linda) Stapleton as well as 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Mariposa Gardens 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa.
