Wanda was born on December 18, 1947, in Tampa. She graduated from Wichita Southeast High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kansas State University. On August 16, 1969, she married the love of her life, Clare, beginning a beautiful marriage that spanned more than five decades. Their sons, Matthew and Adam, were her pride and joy.
Wanda dedicated 15 years to designing and building sets for the Christmas program at Grace Community Church. Through her creativity and tireless effort, she brought joy to countless families during the holiday season. A gifted artist, Wanda lovingly created drawings and paintings for family and friends—treasured gifts that will be cherished for generations to come.
Purple was her favorite color, and many of the birthday and Christmas gifts she received over the years reflected the beautiful shades of the color she so adored.
Above all, Wanda was devoted to her family, extended family, and many dear friends. Her presence filled every room she entered, and she was known for her warmth, kindness, generosity, and outgoing spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wanda is survived by her beloved husband, Clare; her sons, Matthew and Adam (Sara); her granddaughters, Sophia and Amelia; her sister, Carla; and her cousins, Diane and Edward.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
