Sgt. William H. Archer III, 81, of Mesa, Arizona went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 31, 2020. He was the husband of Betty Louise Workinger Archer. On September 18, 2020 they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Bill was born at McGee Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on October 13, 1939. He was the son of the late Dr. W. Harry Archer II and Louise (Billy) Archer. He proudly served in the USMC with two tours in Vietnam. Bill was wounded in action and received a Purple Heart for bravery. He was a member of the Mesa DAV, Tri-City American Legion Post 26, and was the last of the founding members of Mesa MCL Saguaro detachment 554 and Mesa MOPH 472. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by three stepsons; Alan Norris and wife Sharon of Pittsburgh, PA, Walter Norris, and Lester Norris, both of Arizona. Memorial services TBD.
Bill will be laid to rest next to his mother and father at Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park, PA. Interment TBD.
