

Former Schaumburg, IL resident William B. Goldammer, age 69, beloved husband of Diane, passed away peacefully in his East Mesa home on Thursday, September 5, 2013. Bill was born on March 1, 1944, in Chicago, IL to Francis and Edythe (Ostrander) Goldammer. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. Married to Diane on May 24, 1981 in Evanston, IL. Bill was employed by Florsheim Shoe Co, Chicago IL for over 25 years before relocating to the East Valley in 1999. He retired from Avnet, Inc in 2009.
Bill enjoyed all sports and was a hockey and little league baseball coach. His favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Blackhawks, although he had a very special fondness for the Phoenix Cardinals. Bill loved his life in Arizona and even enjoyed the heat. His favorite past time was working in the backyard cactus garden.
Bill is survived by his wife, Diane (Streff), his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Hans Boeve’, of Chicago, IL, his sister-in-law and brother-law Rainer and Marikae Tischler of Valley Glen, CA, his nephew and his wife, Jon and Carla Boeve’, of Chicago, IL, his niece and her husband Amy and Jeff Jones of Kenosha WI , a grand nephew Chase and two grand nieces Kelli and Rory Jones of Kenosha WI. Bill is also survived by a very special buddy, his terrier named Peanut.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, AZ. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care.
