One of the most beautiful ladies you’ve ever met, Yong Ok Black, born December 26, 1943, in Seoul, Korea, passed away on October 5,2014, in Mesa, AZ. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Whether it was up at 4:00AM for early morning riding lessons at the barn, attending youth orchestra concerts, nurturing her beloved granddaughters, Friday night date nights with her daughter, or Sunday family dinners, Yong found great joy in caring for and being with her family. Yong is remembered fondly for her warm welcoming spirit. Her grace and elegance radiated to everyone she touched. Yong also enjoyed traveling; Seattle, San Francisco, and especially Hawaii were some of her favorite places. Yong is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael Black, son Ronald and his wife, Nicole Black; daughter Laura Black as well as her three granddaughters Payson, Phoenix, and Page. She will be dearly missed. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens. Please visit www.mariposagardens.com to leave a tribute.
