

Carol Olivia English, age 79, passed away on February 10, 2026, in Richardson, Texas. She was born on July 21, 1946, in El Paso, Texas to Earl R. Gschwind Jr. and Mildred M Gschwind. Carol was raised in El Paso, Tx and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1964.
She was a member of the Masonic affiliated organizations, The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, in which, she became a Worthy Advisor, and as an adult, The Order of the Eastern Star.
She attended 3 years at Texas Western College (now UTEP).
She married John Thomas English on March 18th, 1968, and had 3 children. She was an insurance clerk helping handle the claims for the Transplant surgeons at Baylor Scott & White, for several years, before retiring in 2012.
In her spare time, Carol enjoyed sewing, having made several quilts and Christmas decorations. She also loved cooking and reading, especially the works of Anne & Tony Hillerman and Margaret Coel.
Family and friends will always remember her as a kind and loving person with a sweet smile. She was a Christian who showed & practiced her faith every day of her life.
She is preceded in death by:

Brother: Earl Gschwind III.
Father and Mother-in-Law: Joseph & Hilah English

Husband: John T. English

Thomas and wife Rhonda Robertson English
Kenneth English
David and wife Ginger English,
Grandchildren: Alexis Hunt, Krista and Husband Frank Neal V, Kayla Roberston
Great Grand Children: Carson Hunt, Desi Hunt, and Harrison Neal
And several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
