Frances Sue Smart, age 82, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Frances was born on January 18, 1935 in Bremond, Texas to Felix and Rosalie Syzdek. Frances had 6 siblings, 4 brothers; Stash, Harry, Victor and Frank along with 2 sisters; Mary and Clara. Frances was the youngest child by a full 8 years. In 1958 she married Don Allen Smart, whom preceded her in death. They were married for over 50 years. She is survived by her 2 sons, Randy and Roy Smart and her daughter, Dianna Fortenbury. She is also survived by 1 daughter-in-law, Debra Smart, and 1 son-in-law, Tim Fortenbury. She is also survived by 1 granddaughter, Angela Erwin. Frances also had several nieces and nephews whom she leaves behind. A visitation will take place on April 28, 2017 from 6 PM – 8 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home in Mesquite. A Holy Mass will take place the following day at 1 PM at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Dallas with burial immediately following at Mesquite City Cemetery.
