

Jeffrey Don Deaver, age 65 passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. He was born July 12, 1959 in Garland, Texas to William "Dub" Deaver, Jr. and Mary Marie Kaster Deaver. A lifelong resident of the Dallas area and Mesquite, TX, Jeff was a graduate of Mesquite High School. He cherished his pets, Lily and Precious, and found joy in gardening, particularly in nurturing flowers, yard work, and savoring his coffee. Jeff treasured the moments spent with his beloved friends and family. His strong Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he found great comfort and inspiration in praise and worship music. Jeff was a dedicated professional who began his career with Mercantile Bank and later continued at Bank of America.
Jeff’s friends and family will always remember his sense of humor, his infectious laugh, his kindness, and his loyalty. He was not only fun and a joy to be around but also had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved. His good-natured sarcasm added a special touch to his interactions, often leaving those around him in stitches. Jeff loved spending time at the Brown family cattle ranch in Hugo, Oklahoma, and with his family in Austin, Texas. His presence brought warmth and happiness, creating countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Jeff's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, William James “Dub” Deaver, Jr. and Mary Marie Kaster Deaver, of Mesquite, Texas, and his brothers, Jerry Lynn Deaver and James Michael “Mike” Deaver. Left to cherish his memory is his best friend and partner, Todd Brown; sister, Carolyn Ann Deaver McLendon, and her husband, Ervin McLendon, of Sulphur, LA, and his brother, Bobby Joe Deaver, and his husband, Mickey Norvell, of Maui, Hawaii.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA in memory of Jeff's name.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite,, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Anderson Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home.
