John P. Phillip 1930-2015 went to rest peacefully with the Lord. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. John was a proud veteran, who was drafted to the Korean War in November of 1951. Throughout the time he served, John received several medals; The National Defense Service Medal, The United Nations Service Medal and The Korean Service Medal with three stars. He retired from Bridge Ford Foods after 35 years of service. John enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing games, and most importantly dancing especially the polka. He was also a Gold Circle member of Veterans of Foreign Affairs (VFW). John was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Marie Philip, his parents, Joseph and Janie Phillips, his six sisters, Josephine Phillip, Verna Berezoski, Louise Phillip, Pauline Phillip, Christine Presley, and Billie Ann Phillip, his brother Edward Philip. Family will be receiving friends on Monday from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7:00P.M. A Catholic mass will be observed the following day; Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Divine Mercy of Our Lord Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
