

Juan S. Ortega Jr., age 71, passed away on February 7, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on December 11, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Maria and Juan Ortega. Juan was raised in West Dallas and graduated from Crozier Tech High School.
He married Mary Helen Pesina in 1966, married 51 wonderful years, and the couple had two children. Juan was retired from Fritz Ind. where he worked for more than fifteen years.
In his spare time Juan enjoyed fishing every morning at Lake Ray Hubbard, and spending every moment with his grandchildren.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known as “PA” and was the best accordion player in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex.
He is preceded in death by his parents Maria and Juan Ortega; his brothers, Carlos, Leonard, and Antonio Ortega; his sister Josie Ortega; his step-brothers; and step-sisters. Also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Betty Pesina, his bother-in-laws, Reyes and Phillip Pesina as well as his sister-in-law, Gloria Pesina.
Juan is survived by his wife Mary Helen Ortega; daughters, Theresa Aviles, and Tina Ortega Santos; granddaughters Amanda and Alyssa Aviles, and Alexis and Tiffany Santos; son-in-law Benjamin Aviles, and Ricardo Garnica; sister Anita Pesina; sister-in-laws, Frances Villages, Susie Ortega, and Juanita Pesina; brother-in-laws, Jessie Pesina, John Pesina, Blas Pesina, and Joe David Pesina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
