June 8, 1935- June 17, 2022
Lois Marie Snyder, devoted Wife, Mother and beloved Grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 87, on June 17, 2022.
She was born on June 8, 1935 and on June 25, 1935 she was adopted by Ruby and Oscar, of Independence, Missouri.
In 1955 she married Bill Snyder. She and Bill had two daughters, Terri and Deana.
In 1969 they relocated from Missouri to Texas. Lois worked as a “Buyer” for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a dedicated employee for 27 years, until she retired in 1989.
After retirement, she helped her Husband Bill at the Barbershop he had opened. She was an integral part of “Fashion Barbers” until she was 82 but their legacy there, will live on forever.
In 1997 Lois assumed the responsibility and care for her Grandchildren after their parents untimely passing. She was their Grandmother, voice of wisdom and confidant as they got older. This also made her an “Honorary Grandma” to their many friends over the years, treating them all as if they were her own.
Lois believed in her Faith very much, lived her life accordingly and loved going to Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, putting together puzzles and enjoying time with family. She had a huge love for animals and they loved her back.
She is survived by her Grandson Cory (Wife Mindy), Granddaughter Christy, Grandson Zac and Granddaughter Emily.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Daughter’s and Son In Law, Reginald.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to your local animal shelter, as their well being was very important to her or to the Alzheimer’s Association in aid of finding a cure.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday July 2, 2022 at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home. Funeral Service to begin at 11 and burial to follow at the Mesquite City Cemetery.
