Lorraine Marie Pape

Lorraine Marie Pape, age 84, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. She was born July 12, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Louis and Josephine Gonzales. She was raised in Delacroix Island, Louisiana and graduated from St. Bernard High School. She married Jesse Pape on October 28, 1955 and they had two children. Lorraine spent her children’s pre-school days as a dedicated mother and housewife. Later, she had a successful career working for notable companies such as T.G. & Y., Heublein, T.I. and Raytheon. Her friends and family will always remember her as a strong, independent woman who was also generous and loving.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Pape; parents, Louis and Josephine Gonzales; and brothers Louis and Russel Gonzales. She is survived by her son, Kevin Pape and wife Connie; daughter, Gwendolyn Pape Shingshang and husband Charles; grandchildren Ceciley Shingshang Hinshaw and husband Jake Hinshaw; Sabrina Shingshang Christian and husband Dylan Christian; and great-grandchildren Jack and Lily Hinshaw.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

A visitation for Lorraine will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 beginning at 12:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, Texas 75149. Lorraine will then be laid to rest at 2:30 PM in the Mausoleum at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Road, Rowlett, TX 75088.
