Mary Louise Gatlin Marley, age 91, entered into rest on February 26, 2021 in Sachse, Texas. She was born on January 27, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to William and Marguerite Gatlin. Mary was raised in Oak Cliff, Texas, and attended Boude Story school. She married Gene Marley in 1947 and the couple had four children. She performed clerical work at Sears & Roebuck where she worked for many years.
In her spare time Mary enjoyed gardening, quilting and sewing, but her real passion was her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her flowers, especially Irises and African Violets.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, caring, and generous person. She very dearly loved church and enjoyed the wonderful ladies in her Sunday School class at First Sachse Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene Marley; and the many pets that she rehomed through the years.
Mary is survived by her brother, Robert Gatlin and wife Judy; daughters, Sharon Flannery and husband Bob, Debbie Windom and husband John, and Teri Flanagan and husband Clint Jr.; son, Rick Marley and wife Cindy; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
