

Ruth Castillo Love, 81, Wife, Mom, Sister, Aunt and one in a million--Angel of Dallas, Texas was called to Heaven on November 7, 2022. Ruth was born on November 23, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to David R. Trevino and Delfina (Castillo) Trevino. She attended Fox Tech High School in San Antonio, Texas. After graduation, she volunteered with the Salvation Army where she met the love of her life of 60 years, James. James and Ruth had four children and moved from Missouri to Texas, where they found their home in Dallas. During her life, Ruth worked at City Embroidery, Sears, and JC Penny’s Credit Processing Center. Ruth enjoyed cooking for her family. Her children and family especially loved her homemade flour tortillas, Mexican food and homemade biscuits. At Christmas time, Ruth made her infamous homemade Italian Nut Ball Cookies and Sand Tarts- no one could get enough; they were consumed before they had time to cool off! Everything she cooked they all loved! Ruth is survived by her daughter Sharon, sons John, Robert and his wife Vicky, James and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Chris, Joshua, Jacob and his wife Gwen, Jessica, Jeremy, Justin, and his wife Charlotte; great-grandchildren; Haley, Michael, Thorin, Luke, Raylenn, and Kate. Ruth is no longer in pain…she was loved and will be dearly missed.
A visitation for Ruth will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home Chapel, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211 ( LANE # 1).
