

William was known for his strong and steady presence and for the way he made others feel truly seen and deeply loved. His pride in his military service and his devotion to family were evident to everyone who knew him.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Dominga Esquivel; his brother, Juan A. Esquivel; his sister, Velia Esquivel Zuniga; and his godson and nephew, Salvador Esquivel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, JoAnn Esquivel; his children, Priscilla Ann Chatham, Cherri Ann Esquivel, Christopher William Esquivel and his daughter-in-law, Ana.
William was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Alex Williams and his wife, Brooke; Dan Brown III; Michael Brown and his wife, Cecilia; Marissa Chatham and her fiancé, Jay; Austin Chatham and his fiancée, Baylee; Angelina Nieman, Jacob Christopher Esquivel, and Joshua William Esquivel.
He was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Mia, Ryan, Tatum, Carter, Scarlett, Tobi Claire, Levi, Hudson, Jace, and Kira.
William is also survived by his siblings: Susan Luna, Luz Esquivel and his wife, Linda; Mary E. King, Hipolito A. Esquivel and his wife, Carmen; Adolfo Esquivel, and Adrianna Esquivel Harris.
He is also lovingly remembered by his godchildren: Jimmy Esquivel, Nick Esquivel, Paul Esquivel, and Brianna Clark, and his many nieces and nephews and extended family members who loved him dearly.
