William Henry Tillison, age 88, passed away on March 14, 2017 in Royse City, Texas. He was born on June 26, 1928 in Mesquite, Texas to Roland and Mae Tillison. William was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Mesquite High School in 1945. William was a Sergeant with the U.S. Army for 3 years and served in WWII. He married Doris A. Abner in 1950 and the couple had 3 children. He was an Ornamental Iron Welder at Metal Arts Company in Dallas, Texas where he worked more than 66 years. In his spare time William enjoyed being around people. He loved working at Fireside Baptist Church. He loved the fellowship. He enjoyed working outdoors and his animals. He loved spending time with his family. His family and friends will always remember him as a generous, caring, and giving man. He is preceded in death by his parents; Roland and Mae Tillison, his brother; John Roland, his sisters; Opal Duckworth and Babe Shewmake. He is survived by wife; Doris Tillison, daughter; Anita, son; Donald and wife Ginger Tillison, daughter; Dorothy and husband Brett Mason, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
