

Wm. Mark White passed away January 1, 2025 in Mesquite, TX. He was born June 20, 1978, in Oklahoma City, OK. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, H.C. and Mary Ann Ward and Franklin and Wanda White. He is survived by his parents Bill and Elizabeth White, brother Robert, sister Kimball and her daughter Hailey Richmond.
Mark graduated from Lake Braddock High School in Burke, Va; attended the University of Oklahoma before graduation from the Dallas Institute of Arts. He was active in Scouts BSA Pack and Troop 1131 in Burke, Va, earning his Eagle badge and being selected for the Order of Arrow. As an avid hiker, Mark traveled on the Appalachian Trail, the Grand Canyon, and trek 26 at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
Every summer Mark would spend a month in Oklahoma with Papa Frank at the family farm frog gigging, swimming in a natural spring, riding the tractor, fishing for bass, and driving the four-wheeler.
Mark’s joys were attending Grateful Dead concerts, working on his Volkswagen Vanagon camper, blowing glass and small and large-scale paintings.
He never met a stranger. Mark’s aura would pull anyone in and befriend them.
Mark was employed as the quality control specialist by Samantha Springs Natural Spring Water, Keller, TX.
On November 20, 2016, Mark was in a single car accident resulting in traumatic brain injury. He spent the next 8 years in a long term care facility until his death.
In accordance with his wishes, Mark’s remains will be scattered on the Appalachian Trail, Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Mount Baldy on the Philmont Scout Ranch.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring. Arrangements will be announced via the Caring Bridge website (www.caringbridge.org/site/b3922e3f-45cd-3798-bede-2c960071663).
