

Alexander Blake Belsome, age 26, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Winnsboro, LA, passed away in Oklahoma City on December 9, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Alexis Nicole Belsome. Loving father of Remi Clare Belsome and Alexander Blake Belsome, Jr. Son of Floyd Belsome, Jr. (Nikki) and Kelly Staub (Perry, Jr). Brother to Grant Belsome, Collin Staub, Erin Staub and Allison Staub. Grandson of Elaine Belsome and the late Floyd Belsome, Sr. and of Omer and Colleen Abram, Debra Robichaux and the late Dr. Philip Robichaux. Son-in-law of Brenda and Billy Busby and grandson-in-law of Christine Lofton. Aunts and Uncles - Brian Belsome (Carol), Rhonda Mouton (Zack), Donna Tregre (Will), Ruby McKay (Dean), Roxanne Walker (Allen), Danny Lofton and Aunt Jwana Lofton, Cathy Stallworth (Bob), Jay Robichaux (Amanda), and Philip Robichaux III. Cousins of the deceased include Rachel and Marci DeFelice, Adrienne Tregre, Macy and Claire McKay, and Laird Walker, Meghan Schneider (Aaron) and Parker Stallworth, Adelea and Frances Robichaux. Alex was a fun loving, free spirit. From a young age, he was amazing at building things with his hands. First, it was legos and small carpentry work and then as he grew up he continued enjoy working with his hands in construction and rig work. He was employed by Nabors Drilling. He enjoyed fishing and duck and deer hunting. Throughout high school he found his passion was wrestling for Archbishop Rummel High School, which is where he graduated from in 2010. He loved animals of all kinds: dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes and chickens to name a few. From a very young age, he enjoyed cooking and he was great at it. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Whatever Alex would do, he would do at 100%. He was a hard worker and he loved his family. He was kind and giving and had a big heart. Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA 70006, Visitation from 12:30 to 2:30 followed by a Prayer Service until 3:30.
