Alice Dashiell Fury

Alice Dashiell Fury, age 96, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Mrs. Fury was a native of Cedonia, WA and was a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late Frank J. Fury, Jr. Mother of Frank J. Fury, III (wife, Norma), Loraine F. Schlater (husband, Donald) and Robert P. Fury (wife, Denise). Grandmother of Stephanie Crow (husband, Gary), Benton D. Schlater (wife, Nicole), Matthew R. Fury (wife, Keshia) and Christopher J. Fury. Great grandmother of Katelyn Crow, Collin Crow, Cooper Crow and Caden Crow. Sister of the late Robert Dashiell (surviving wife, Etta Mae). Daughter of the late Herbert Preston Dashiell and Elnora Keller Dashiell. Mrs. Fury was a retired registered nurse for Ochsner Hospital. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School of Nursing and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, October 11, 2014 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.
