Allen Thomas Bremermann

December 4, 1925 – March 26, 2012

Allen Thomas Bremermann, husband of Geraldine (Gerrie) Thacher Bremermann, loving father of Ann Holden Leopold (August), Kimsley Allen Bremermann and the late Jane Randle. He is survived by two brothers, Jack Bremermann II and wife Mary Parlour Bremermann of Baltimore, Maryland and Stanley Bremermann and wife Burdette Huggins Bremermann of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by three grandsons, Aynsley T. Randle, Porter Holden and Thacher Holden. He is predeceased by parents Herbert J. Bremermann and Hilda Lemarie.

Tom was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. After graduating from New Orleans Academy in 1943, he served two years in the United States Navy during World War II. He returned to New Orleans and attended Tulane University with a scholarship in football. He married in 1947, had a family and began a long career with his brother Stanley as co-owner of Bremermann Company. He was an avid sportsman and spent every available moment hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Tom loved New Orleans and Mardi Gras, especially riding in Rex. He never missed a parade.

Memorial services will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, 2919 St. Charles Avenue on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:30 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. The Very Reverend David Allard Duplantier will officiate. Inurnment immediately following in Christ Church Cathedral Columbarium.
