Alma Bourgeois Glaeser, age 86, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 from complications of scleroderma. Mrs. Glaeser was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA for the last 8 years. Beloved wife of the late Henry “Harry” L. Glaeser, Jr. for 60 years. Mother of Sister Julie Glaeser, OSC, Leon Henry Glaeser (wife, Sheila) and Cathy Glaeser Butts (husband, John). Grandmother of Aaron Glaeser, Jennifer G. Kelly (husband, Ryan) and John Glaeser (wife, Katie). Great-grandmother of Jason Kelly, Aedan Glaeser, Eve Kelly, Jonas Glaeser, Gaelle Kelly and the late Caelen Kellly. Daughter of the late George and Mabel Ford Bourgeois. Sister of George J. Bourgeois, Jr. and the late Edith B. Gillio and Marguerite Bourgeois. For many years Mrs. Glaeser was the financial treasurer of the Gentilly Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed researching her family history. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 11:00 am.
