Angelina Serio Caruso Quartararo

Angelina Serio Caruso Quartararo, age 96, completed her journey on Christmas morning and passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior. Angie leaves a legacy of selfless love to her three children, Louis J. Caruso (Maggie), Vincent P. Caruso (Glenda), and Bernadine Caruso, her six grandchildren, and her seven great-grandchildren. With her passing, she joins her parents, Maria Grace Oteri Serio and Vincent Serio, whom she credited with teaching her the values of life and the importance of a caring and loving family. She also joins her siblings, Mother Battistina D.C. (nee Dorathea), Rosemary, Salvador, Vincent Serio, and Virginia Serio Cabibi, who all preceded her in death. She was also survived by numerous loving neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dancing was Angie’s passion, and she was a Founding Member and first female president of the co-ed dance club Nu Kappa Psi. She was a parishioner of St. Benilde and a member of Nu Kappa Rho, Eastern Star Metairie Ridge Chapter #169, Krewe of Naiads, and the former president, historian, and Life Time Member of Metairie Art Guild.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral mass at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 am.
