POTTS Katherine Anne Pearson Potts, age 87 years, a native of Shreveport, LA, and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, passed away Friday August 30, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Ewell Cardwell Potts, Jr. Loving mother of Susan Potts LeGros (Gary), John Baker Potts, II (Adele), Ewell Cardwell Potts, III (Kay), and Pearson Bahan Potts (Marisa). Grandmother of Ewell Cardwell Potts, IV, Gary F. LeGros, III (Geoff), Cerise Katherine Potts, Katherine Pearson LeGros, John Baker Potts, III, Ashley Elizabeth LeGros, and Pearson Bahan Potts, Jr. Sister of the late Jane Pearson Roark. Daughter of the late Harry G. Pearson and Olive Richard Pearson. She was a former member of the St. Bernard Garden Club, Louisiana Colonials, Daughters of the American Revolution and Founders of New Orleans. She was a former docent at Longview Gardens and the New Orleans Museum of Art. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority where she was treasurer while at LSU. She was a member of the Southern Yacht Club where she served as Chairwoman of the Ladies Committee, and worked on the Race Committee. She was also the former President of the New Orleans Genealogical Society. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until time of service and Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 444 Metairie Road, Metairie, LA.
