Anthony Joseph “A.J.” Alphonse, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Beloved former husband of Margaret Berbuesse Alphonse. Beloved father of Stacey Alphonse and the late Laura Alphonse Baroni (surviving husband, Joe). Grandfather of Michael Baroni and Dominick Baroni. Son of the late Joseph Alphonse and Mary Grace Drago Alphonse. Brother of the late Sal Alphonse (surviving wife, Elena). Also survived by nephews and his special friends Margaret and Chris Caruso. Mr. Alphonse was a graduate of Redemptorist High school and had served in the Coast Guard Reserve. He enjoyed taking road trips and woodworking. He will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, April 30, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
