Barbara Morehouse Morvant, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29, 2013. Mrs. Morvant was a native of Lafayette, IN and a longtime resident of Harvey and Gretna, LA. Beloved wife of the late Charles Morvant. Mother of Elizabeth Morvant and Patricia Mullen (Steve). Grandmother of Brandi and Chelsey Mullen. Daughter of the late Morgan Morehouse and Elizabeth Gillespie Morehouse. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Sunday afternoon, December 1, 2013 beginning at 1:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be private at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Morvant’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
